Cross-Reference Notice: This Data Usage Policy should be read in conjunction with Quantir’s Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Subscriber Terms. In the event of conflict, the Privacy Policy governs personal information, and this Policy governs non-personal, project, and operational data.
1. Purpose
This Data Usage Policy explains how Quantir collects, processes, and utilizes project-related, technical, and operational data—collectively referred to as “Project Data”—to enhance, secure, and develop the Quantir platform and its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
This Policy is distinct from the Privacy Policy, which governs personal and identifiable user information.
2. Definition of Project Data
“Project Data” means any non-personal information, datasets, or content generated, uploaded, or processed through Quantir’s Services in the normal course of use, including but not limited to:
- Material quantities, labor inputs, and cost breakdowns;
- Estimation results, takeoffs, and proposal structures;
- Unit rates, assemblies, productivity metrics, and markup configurations;
- AI model prompts, responses, and usage patterns (excluding identifiable personal information);
- Aggregated statistical data regarding performance, accuracy, and user interactions.
Project Data does not include personally identifiable information (PII), payment data, or contact details, all of which are governed solely by the Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Project Data
Quantir may collect, process, and analyze Project Data to:
- Improve Services: Enhance estimation accuracy, data integrity, and system performance.
- Train and Validate AI Models: Use aggregated and anonymized Project Data to train, retrain, and evaluate AI models for takeoffs, cost predictions, text generation, and workflow optimization.
- Analytics and Benchmarking: Produce anonymized statistical insights such as average costs, productivity rates, or pricing trends for internal and industry-level analytics.
- Quality and Security Monitoring: Detect anomalies, prevent misuse, and maintain platform reliability.
- Feature Development: Inform product updates, pricing algorithms, and new STEP Process capabilities.
All data used for analytics or model training is aggregated and de-identified so it cannot be linked back to specific projects, companies, or individuals.
4. Excluded Uses
Quantir does not:
- Sell Project Data or use it for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes;
- Share identifiable or proprietary project details with competitors or third parties without consent;
- Use Project Data to reconstruct or disclose customer business strategies, estimates, or bid results;
- Combine Project Data with personal data unless expressly required for legal compliance or security.
5. Data Anonymization and Aggregation
Before using Project Data for model training or analytics, Quantir employs processes such as:
- Removal of names, client identifiers, and addresses;
- Randomization or generalization of quantities and pricing;
- Aggregation across multiple users or projects;
- Pseudonymization where necessary for internal testing.
These steps ensure that no individual customer’s data can be reverse-engineered or identified.
6. Data Retention and Storage
Project Data is retained only as long as necessary for operational and improvement purposes, typically aligned with your active Subscription Term and a limited archival period thereafter.
Anonymized or aggregated datasets used for long-term analytics or model improvement may be retained indefinitely in de-identified form.
7. Customer Control and Opt-Out
Subscribers may request to exclude their Project Data from model training by emailing support@checktally.com with the subject line “Project Data Opt-Out.”
Opting out will not affect your ability to use the Services but may limit personalized AI enhancements and analytics accuracy.
Requests are typically processed within 30 days.
8. Security
Quantir implements administrative, technical, and organizational measures to safeguard Project Data, including:
- Encryption in transit and at rest;
- Access control and role-based permissions;
- Continuous monitoring for unauthorized access or data leakage.
9. Relationship to Other Policies
This Data Usage Policy complements, and does not replace, Quantir’s:
- Privacy Policy (for personal and account-related data),
- Subscriber Terms (for subscription and usage obligations), and
- Terms & Conditions (for general platform rights and responsibilities).
Together, these documents form Quantir’s complete data governance framework.
10. Changes to This Policy
Quantir may modify this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or business practices. Updated versions will be posted on our website and effective upon posting.
Material changes will be communicated via in-product notice or email.
